Evidence for Health – Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning (MERL)

Integrity leads the Evidence for Health (E4H) – Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) contract for FCDO Pakistan. We deliver MERL services for two complementary programmes. E4H operates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab and at the Federal level. Through the same contract Integrity will also deliver MERL services for the World Bank-funded National Health Support Programme (NHSP) initially in KP, Punjab and Sindh.

The primary beneficiaries of the E4H programme are adults, women, and children, particularly poor and marginalised groups, who need preventative and curative health care services. Through the programme we focus on gender, poverty, equity, health inequalities, disability and areas that are vulnerable to climate change. More widely, as this is a system strengthening programming, it has a long-term benefit for all communities through the availability of a more effective primary health care system. This will result in improved population health and will reduce preventable deaths.  

NHSP is a large-scale roll out of an essential package of primary healthcare services. NHSP is funded by the World Bank and FCDO is providing MERL services for their programme.
