Evaluability assessment for a local government capacity building programme in Pakistan

The Sub-National Governance (SNG) programme aims to improve the capacity of the Provincial Governments of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab by supporting  public financial management and designing initiatives for providing essential public services. This includes promoting evidence-based policy development, and a focus on improved health and education outcomes.

FCDO believes that the SNG programme will contribute towards more stable democracy in Pakistan, by helping to ensure government services better meet the needs of the poor in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As part of the programme’s independent evaluation, Integrity assessed the evaluability of the programme for FCDO, validated the baseline and provided recommendations for the evaluation methodology.
