Supporting ex-Combatant Reintegration, South Sudan

Project objective(s): Support the National Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission (NDDRC) in South Sudan to conduct and learn lessons from a pilot ex-combatant reintegration project prior to scale-up.

Project outcome(s): The planned outcome was to build local capacity and ensure ownership of DDR activities in South Sudan by the South Sudanese government, and to provide monitoring and evaluation support to the NDDRC. Using a mixture of innovative techniques,Integrity conducted survey work in four states where ex-combatants were likely to return: Western Bahr el Ghazal, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Warrap and Lakes. Atotal of 805 respondents across the four states participated in the community survey.
