Lydia Levy – Project Officer
Lydia Levy is Integrity’s Project Officer based in London and supports the operations, development and delivery of all the team’s work outside of the MENA and East Africa portfolios, particularly the DRC and Myanmar programmes.
Prior to joining Integrity Lydia was working in the Oxfam Humanitarian department as a Protection Research Officer and Humanitarian Administrator. Before this she was a Trainee with the Human Rights Subcommittee of the European Parliament in Brussels and she has also supported health projects in Senegal, education and child protection programmes with Save the Children Rwanda, and the evaluation of the Rwandan government’s DDR programmes.
She has an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford. Her master’s thesis used a political economy analysis to examine the relationship between Third-termism and stability in Africa, with Burundi as a case study. Originally from the UK, she has lived and worked in Rwanda, Senegal and Belgium.
