Caitlin Smit – Senior Expert, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Caitlin is a Senior Expert in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) at Integrity, based in London. She is currently a senior evaluator and relationship manager on the Evaluation and Learning team supporting the UK Prosperity Fund.

Before joining Integrity, Caitlin worked at Genesis, a development and economics consulting firm, where she specialised in the evaluation of programmes and policies aimed at the achievement of economic development and inclusive growth across sub-Saharan Africa. She has led multiple evaluations for large-scale, multi-country programmes focused on private sector and market systems development in the financial inclusion, innovation, agriculture, development finance, youth employment and digital development sectors. She has worked for clients that include DFID, UNCDF, Mastercard Foundation, IFC, Mercy Corps and AGRA. She has also developed and supported MEL frameworks for a range of long-term private sector development programmes.

Caitlin holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. She grew up in South Africa where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering at the University of Cape Town.
