Demand Side Accountability Research, Libya

Country/ date: Libya (2013).

Partner: Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)

Project objective(s): Inform the design of a ‘Public Financial Management’ (PFM) accountability programme in Libya.

Project outcome(s): The PFM accountability programme was intended to support civil society organisations actively engaged or interested in public policy issues, by providing training and small grants to develop advocacy and research around PFM in Libya.  Through a combination of research methods, Integrity was able to identify key public policy issues that are considered important to Libyans, and an up-to-date mapping of Libya’s current media landscape that highlighted key organisations that could potentially benefit from the programme.
